Vintage Wood & Sons ‘Oriental Birds’ Round Covered Dish for Vegetables /hg

Charming bird motif on this covered vegetable dish made Wood & Sons of England between 1914 and 1924.  It features beautiful tones of red, pink, yellow, and green hand-painted over blue transfer designs.  The pattern is part of Wood & Sons range of “Fancy Wares” and can be somewhat difficult to find.  

The dish was estate-owned and is in good vintage condition.  You will see a couple os subtle chips, one along the rim of the dish, and one along the lid.  Look closely at the pictures for condition reference. 

It measures approx. 6 1/2” in height and 10 1/4” in diameter.  Handle to handle measures 11.5” in width.
