Walker True China’s 1953 Commemorative Coronation Plate of Queen Elizabeth II /b

This came to me today, the day the Queen is being laid to rest.

An incredible woman of strength, courage, service and fortitude. She will be missed by many.

This 8 1/4” plate is made by Walker True China in Bedford Ohio.

It was to commemorate the coronation of the Queen June 2, 1953. The artist, Allen Hughes, painted the striking new Queen with Buckingham Palace just outside the curtain.

The plate rim is platinum lined.

There is a small flea bite in the hair of the Queen which is displayed in photos.
