Striking combination of cobalt blue and gold on these luncheon-sized plates by S.W. Co. Limoges,France. The style is very ornate and opulent, reminiscent of Louis the XIV’s dinnerware. Formal and stunning!
The plates were estate-owned and are in fair vintage condition. Some of the gold encrusting has worn with time, and there are a couple of minor chips. They would still function or display beautifully. Look closely at pictures for reference.
The plates measure 8 5/8” in diameter.
