Great MCM lacquerware plates or trays made in Japan between the 1950s-1960s. They are hand-painted and feature a botanical scene with leaves and a butterfly. The butterfly’s wings have tiny chips of abalone shell affixed to them. These would make great bar trays, or wall hangings. Would look adorable in a MCM gallery wall configuration! The plates/trays were estate-owned and are in good vintage condition for the most part. You will see some chips around the edge of the plates, and some subtle scratching. Also some scratching on the bottoms of a couple of the plates. A few pieces of abalone shell are missing from the butterfly wings. Take a moment to look at the pictures for reference. They measure 10.75” in diameter.
Estate item. Condition is pre owned.
